High Level Seminar for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) and Mongolia on the subject “Modernization of official statistics” was held on 3 October - 5 2016 in Minsk, Belarus.
The workshop addressed issues related to the quality of official statistics, statistical cooperation between Eurostat and the EECCA, definition of the scope of the national statistical systems, coordination of the monitoring of target indicators for sustainable development and reporting.
Chairman of the session on coordination of the national statistical system was Ms. G.Hasanzoda, Director of the Agency, who in her speech told about the experience of the Agency on Statistics on this subject.
On 6 - 7 October, after a High-Level Workshop the Conference of EECCA countries was held and continues to be held under the Official Statistics Conversion Program, which is organized by the United Nations Statistics Division, with the support of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Statistical Office of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association and the National Statistical Committee.
EECCA Conference is a part of a number of regional conferences under Official Statistics Conversion Program for 2030 to support sustainable development and other strategies and initiatives at the global, regional and national levels.
On October 7 the Agency on Statistics will conduct presentation on the updating technological process in the field of collection, processing and dissemination of data in the statistical system of the Republic of Tajikistan.
