DELEGATION OF TAJIKISTAN PARTICIPATES IN THE 56TH MEETING OF THE UNITED NATIONS STATISTICAL COMMISSION

Delegation Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership directors Agency on statistics under the President Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda is participating in the 56th meeting of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC), which will be held from 4 to 7 March in New York, United States of America.

The United Nations Statistical Commission is the highest body of the International Statistical System, at whose meetings global standards for the collection, analysis and dissemination of statistical data are reviewed and approved annually. At the meeting The presentations will cover the main principles of official statistics, Sustainable Development Goal indicators and existing problems, the system of national accounts, population and housing censuses, new sources and methods of collecting statistical data, especially using big data.

During the high-level meeting, the top leaders statistical organs states exchanged experiences in achieving and developing a national statistical system with the involvement of development partners, the use of modern technology and equipment, the transition to electronic reporting and the integration of databases with other ministries and departments, obtaining and including data from other new sources of official statistics in the report, and discussed existing problems.

On the first day of the meeting, a report was presented by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda on the system of national accounts and population census, and housing stock. On other issues, the delegation of Tajikistan also presents official reports on other topics. Also within the framework of this meetings a separate meeting is scheduled with the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda with representatives of international organizations and heads of statistical agencies of states in the direction of further cooperation.
