INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF LABOR STATISTICS

Today, an international meeting on labor statistics entitled “Development of labor statistics taking into account the decisions of the 21st International Conference on Labor Statistics” started in Dushanbe.

The meeting is attended by heads of statistical bodies of the CIS member states, high-ranking representatives of the international labor organization, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Interstate Committee on Statistics of the CIS, labor scientists and a number of international experts.

The meeting will address issues related to tracking scientific innovations in the process of transition to new standards of labor and employment statistics, the labor market and its impact on migration flows, employment status and measurement of income from employment and other pressing issues in the field of labor and employment population.

During the meeting, current and future trends in the development of labor statistics in the CIS member states, the introduction of internationally established standards of labor statistics, the comparability of statistical data, the integration of the national system of statistical services of the states of the region into the international system, the identification of priority areas for the development of labor statistics and other relevant aspects will be discussed labor statistics.
