MEETING OF JAMSHED NURMAHMADZOD WITH REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK MS. ELAINE TAN

Within the framework 56th meeting of the UN Statistical Commission Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda met with the head of the statistics department of the Asian Development Bank, Ms. Elaine Tan .

Parties considered the organization of such a meeting necessary and timely and exchanged views on the cooperation of the statistical agency with the Asian Development Bank and the implementation of a number of works on the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of the system of national accounts and other sectors, as well as the preparation of a schedule of reserves and expenditures.

The main issue presented by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was the support of the Asian Development Bank in conducting an agricultural census. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda considered agricultural indicators and the contribution of this sector to the gross domestic product to be important, and at the same time called the agricultural census an important part of this sector. Because the main goal of this important event is, first of all, to collect accurate data on the agricultural sector, and the information collected will be used to promote macroeconomic policy.

Representative Asian jar development madam Elaine Tan also noted importance carrying out agricultural censuses and noted that the issue of financing the census will be considered within the framework of the Asian Development Bank. It was suggested that organizing a meeting with the newly appointed representative of the Asian Development Bank in Tajikistan would be important and timely.
