On April 13, 2018, the Agency on statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held an expanded meeting of the Board on the results of activities of the state statistics bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first quarter of 2018 and further tasks for 2018 with the participation of the Agency management, departments and units of the central office, Main Computing Center, the main departments of statistics of regions, Dushanbe, departments and divisions of statistics of cities and rayons of republican subordination. Representatives of other ministries and departments also participated in the expanded meeting.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Agency on statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Hasanzoda G.K, who noted that the statistical bodies, in the first quarter of 2018, which was declared the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts, guided by the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, honorable Emomali Rakhmon in the Majlisi Oli dated December 22, 2017; orders, instructions, as well as Decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on statistics, a statistical work program was performed for the first quarter of 2018.
The First Deputy Director of the Agency, Mr. Shokirzoda Sh. presented a detailed report on the results of the activities of the state statistics bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first quarter of 2018 and further tasks for 2018. In particular, he noted that all the tasks for the first quarter of 2018 were fulfilled according to the approved Program of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan On Statistical Work for 2018.

During the first quarter of 2018, 141 laws and decrees were issued, 69 instructions from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and 383 letters from local statistical agencies, 32 letters on e-government, e-mail of the Agency and 4 written appeals of citizens to which responses were provided in time. In total 3.1 thousand of statistical works were presented.
In addition, during the period, 10 statistics digests, 57 statistical bulletins, 6 information and 11 express information were prepared.
It should be noted that following the Decree of the Government of the Republic and within the framework of the Implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS), a new website of the Agency was prepared for launching.
The reports of statistical bodies were heard out for the first quarter of 2018 at the Board and further tasks at the republican and oblast levels, including Dushanbe.
During the meeting, various issues of qualitative statistical works, timeliness and accuracy of statistical information were considered and recommendations were given on the calculation and analysis of accurate indicators for population households, as well as compliance with the current methodology for the formation of official statistics.
