ODINEKOV KHUSHKADAM: THE INDUSTRY SECTOR IS A PRIORITY AREA OF THE GBAO ACTIVITIES

Taking into account the announcement of 2022-2026, years of industrial development, this issue is given special attention in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

Therefore, the industrial sector in GBAO is developing year after year and creating favorable conditions for solving the most important social problems, that is, increasing jobs and improving welfare, ensuring the security and competitiveness of the national economy. It should be noted that the industrial sector in the region is a priority, and in the first quarter of this year, industrial enterprises and workshops in the region produced industrial products worth 39.5 million somoni, which is 6.4 million somoni more compared to the same period last year.

The head of the Main Department of Statistics of the region, Odinekov Khushkadam, told a correspondent of the “Gharfi Omor” magazine about this. According to him, the rate of development of the industrial sector in the region in the first quarter of 2024 is ensured at the level of 118.4 percent. It is noted that the main factor in the development of the industrial sector is mainly due to the increase in the volume of manufacturing industry at the level of 140.8 percent. It was reported that over the past period the volume of trade turnover in the region amounted to 58 million 445.8 thousand somoni, which compared to the same period last year in comparative prices increased by 1.7 percent or by 5 million 322 thousand somoni.

The volume of paid services in all service areas amounted to 37 million 772.7 thousand somoni, which is 5.9% more than the same period last year at comparative prices.
