Representatives of Tajikistan took part in the international forum on the use of digital technologies in statistics

Representatives of Tajikistan, leading by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, are taking part in the international forum on the widespread use of digital technologies in statistics and the modernization of the National Statistical System based on digital transformation, held by the Interstate Committee on Statistics of the Commonwealth of Independent States jointly with the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The forum is attended by 150 specialists and experts from international organizations from the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The purpose of the forum is to bring together representatives of statistical bodies of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, who are responsible for the process of preparing statistical data. The forum discusses measures to improve the quality of official statistics data through the widespread use of digital technologies, systematic improvement and harmonization of the National Statistical System with the International Statistical System and the basic (fundamental) principles of official statistics, discusses the use of artificial intelligence in the context of digital transformation in statistical accounting and the use of alternative data sources. Within the framework of the forum, according to the plan, a representative of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan made a report on the topic “Implementation of digital technologies in the statistical accounting system and modernization of the statistical accounting system.” The forum started on October 2 and will last until October 4.
