SPORTS TOURNAMENT DEDICATED TO WORLDWIDE STATISTICS DAY

From 10 to 17 October, in honor of World Statistics Day, the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held a volleyball competition between employees of the central office of the Agency, the state institution “Main Computing Center” and the Main Department of the Agency on Statistics in Dushanbe.

The opening ceremony of the sports competition was attended by the First Deputy Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Aso Nurullo Asvat , who added that it is a great honor for him that in our beloved and independent country the sphere of physical culture and sports is in the center of attention of the Founder peace and national unity – Leader nations, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon , on this basis, a number of regulatory and legal acts were developed and adopted in the country to promote a healthy lifestyle, popularize sports, build sports facilities, hold national and international competitions and train professional athletes.

Basic purpose conducting of this sports competitions is, first of all, the promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle, strengthening friendly ties between employees and local statistics bodies, as well as improving the professional skills of athletes. The first place in the competition was taken by the employees of the central office of the Agency, the second place was taken by the employees of the state institution “computing center” and the third place was taken by the employees of the Main Department of the Agency on Statistics in Dushanbe.
