We would like to inform you that in 2024, the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan is heading the Council of Heads of Statistical authorities of the CIS Member States, and the 69th meeting of the Council will be held on May 29, 2024 in Dushanbe.

During the work of the Council, important statistical issues of the CIS member states will be discussed, appropriate decisions regarding the improvement of the activities of the statistical bodies of the member states and the future plans of the CIS Statistical Committee will be decided.

Along with this, on May 29-31, 2024, planned a meeting of specialists from statistical authorities of the CIS member states on the topic “Development of labor statistics taking into account the resolution of the 21st International Conference on Labor Statistics.” According to the draft agenda of the above event, the meeting is expected to be attended by high-level representatives of the International Labor Organization, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, representatives of the CIS executive committee, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, heads of statistical bodies of the CIS member states, labor researchers and a number of international experts.

During the meeting, it is expected to consider issues related to tracking scientific innovations in the process of transition to new standards of labor and employment, the labor market and its impact on migration flows, employment status and measurement of income from employment, as well as other issues in the field of labor and employment of the population.
